Engineering WITH People: The First Video Game in Humanitarian Engineering!

Academic 5:00pm 30 min

What if engineering students could learn empathy, problem-solving and community engagement by playing a video game? Engineering WITH People places players in real-world community challenges and asks them to make decisions, understand different perspectives and design solutions with—not just for—people. The game is being integrated into RMIT’s Introduction to Professional Engineering Practice course, reaching more than 2,000 students. This session showcases the game, explains how it was developed and tested, and explores how games can create more engaging and human-centred learning experiences.
