About the talk
Through critical reflection and applied experimentation, Roko Zaper explores how ecological awareness can reshape game design, production, materiality and publishing. The project has produced Nautilus Epoch, a game that challenges anthropocentric assumptions, and a blueprint for integrating non-anthropocentric principles into game design. The talk considers how low-impact development practices can support independent ecocritical games and alternatives to dominant industry approaches.
